*snicker*
WHY is it that these things always come down to sex?!
That's actually fairly accurate, and it reflects what I normally /play/ as well.
And when it comes down to it, the various incarnations of Ellie that exist online usually take that pattern...

I Am A: Neutral Good Elf Cleric Ranger

Alignment:
Neutral Good characters believe in the power of good above all else. They will work to make the world a better place, and will do whatever is necessary to bring that about, whether it goes for or against whatever is considered 'normal'.

Race:
Elves are the eldest of all races, although they are generally a bit smaller than humans. They are generally well-cultured, artistic, easy-going, and because of their long lives, unconcerned with day-to-day activities that other races frequently concern themselves with. Elves are, effectively, immortal, although they can be killed. After a thousand years or so, they simply pass on to the next plane of existance.

Primary Class:
Clerics are the voices of their God/desses on Earth. They perform the work of their deity, but this doesn't mean that they preach to a congregation all their lives. If their deity needs something done, they will do it, and can call upon that deity's power to accomplish their goals.

Secondary Class:
Rangers are the defenders of nature and the elements. They are in tune with the Earth, and work to keep it safe and healthy.

Deity:
Lathander is the Neutral Good god of spring, dawn, birth, and renewal. His followers believe in new beginnings, and work for the betterment of all. They have no preferred weapon, but they typically wear plate mail and a shield, with red and yellow tinting. Lathander's symbol is rosy pink disk, typically cut from rose quartz.

It's proving to be a very slow day, ability-to-move-wise. A fairly sizable storm rolled in this afternoon, explaining the slow rise in my pain levels. I still managed to get out to the grocery store; there were things we needed, and the world doesn't stop just because I'm wondering if I really /did/ get hit by a truck. :p The bruises acquired over the weekend have faded further, and will be gone in another day or so.

It perplexes me that I can put up a carefully thought out post that (at least in my view) deals with some very important and relevant stuff and only get minimal response ( here.. I thought it to be -very- important and timely...), but a short post referencing someone getting rough with me earns me a crowd of folk eagerly breaking out the ball bats and crowbars. *scratches her head* I'm not complaining about the rally of folks to my defense; that's not it at all. Thank you, /all/ of you. It's the lack of attention the other post got... At a guess, it's my reading public's way of quietly telling me I know -much- less than I think; the 'ignore her and she'll shut up' approach. I guess my ego (yes, I do have one) is a bit wounded, and I'll just have to get over it. *shakes her head* Never mind. It's not important, I guess.

Well, it's really been quite a long day for me. Maybe I'll pad off and take a nap for a bit. I suspect this is just emotional blue showing up and making me overly sensitive.

*hugs*

That's been commented on before, by many people.

Make what you think is an important post, and you'll get no comments. Make a short post, and it'll get so many comments the page ends up scrolling horizontally.

It's just One Of Those Things.

well, personally...

I didn't answer the longer one because:

a) It fell during The Official Month From Hell (aka October) and I hardly answered anything or posted during that month

b) It seemed to me like you were just clarifying things for yourself, sort of thinking out loud, and it was something that didn't really require response on my part

c) I didn't disagree with anything you wrote, and I despise "Me too!" posts, as you well know. :)

d) It's not really clear what you wanted comment on. I mean, you laid out some things, and delineated your thought processes on some stuff, but there wasn't anything there that really screamed "LYS! ANSWER ME!!!" to me. I certainly hope I'm not one of those who uses my physical problems as an excuse to excess (though I think that EVERYONE is guilty of that once in a while), and if I AM one of them, I would hope you would tell me personally rather than in a generalized post like that.

e) Someone beating on you is going to get a response from me no matter how busy I am. You know that. You know that you would respond to someone beating on me in the same manner no matter how busy you were.

So don't take it as being ignored. Don't take it as "maybe if we don't answer she'll go away." Take it as "You said it well, you said what you needed to say, and it made sense, so my silence is agreement."

Love you, babe.

Yeah. What she said!

Hon, I refrained from posting because we talked about this subject for many, many hours.

Besides, You didn't actually expect -her- to reply, did you?

Actually...

...didn't respond to the longer post because I had nothing intelligent to say in the wake of such an erudite piece. :~)

Love,

If I don't respond, it's often because I don't know what to say, sometimes due to what's being said being outside my experiences (other times it's out of sheer laziness on my part). Being bullied/manhandled is WELL within my experiences, though. As far as this ponyfox is concerned, write what you wish to, including the thought out and deep stuff. I will read it. I can't guarantee a response, but don't think that I want you to shut up! *hug*
