My day today has actually been decent. I've begun My Great August Task of going through 10+ years of accounting records and shredding some and scanning others. Only I could think it's just fine and peachy to sit here with a huge pile of canceled checks and put them all in order then scan them. :)
And best of all, actually found a couple of jobs to apply to today. It's pretty slim out there!
I never know what to suggest. My mind walks ... wow, that's a pretentious beginning. Anyway, my mindset is rather grim at the moment... my best friend's father is slipping into senior dementia and there's a lot of other things going on. There're good moments, mind, but things are a bit bleak on the whole.
I've always been partial to tailspinning, but can't think of anything particularly uplifting to suggest.
I'm sorry to hear that things are so rough over there. I hope it gets better soon.
Not all prompts have to be uplifting. Somebody today dropped a prompt about the time when an adult has lost both parents, and that was my first poem of the day, very mournful. Other times people post prompts that are photos they've seen or taken -- someone did that today too.
I won't pester, though, it sounds like you have a lot of people expecting things of you.
