For the significance of Tentacoo Wape!, you should go HERE, go to the begining of the archives, and read forward (being careful not to miss a strip) until you are introduced to the character of Peep. Reading should then continue forward until the origins of the Zipper Ninja are revealed. Most of it should then be clear.
And then, if you can find me AND catch me, you can try and beat me upside the head with a crowbar for corrupting/destroying any innocence you had left. :p
