Feb. 22nd, 2006 08:19 am*sigh* Sent home. Apparently going into work when sick is a no-no with my boss, no matter how much stuff is trying to kick off first thing in the morning. So I'm home again, with well wishes (nobody's mad, but the alarm in Susan's eyes was visible when she found out I was actually -sick-), and fixing to crawl back into bed.
bleah.

Date: 2006-02-22 03:24 pm (UTC)But keep in mind, coming to work sick is not a proof of stamina, or work ethic, or what have you:
It's a risk to you and your co-workers.
It's a risk to you, because wheras the average workday has about 60-80% productivity, being sick drops it below the 50%mark. Worse, there can be errors in your work that can cause future problems.
It's a risk to your co-workers because you're possibly putting the entire staff at that level.
I know this is important to you, and I'm proud of you. I'm glad you're important to Susan as well.
Now get some rest.

Date: 2006-02-22 05:57 pm (UTC)I understand the logic of your points. I even agree with them, mousie.
But it's not what I'm used to, and it's proving to be a tough point of adapting. *mutters softly* I'll figure this out eventually...
