Cleaning Fu
May. 19th, 2005 02:31 amThree loads of laundry to catch up my clothes and personal stuff.
Three loads of towels; all that I could find. I'm missing almost half of them.
One load of sheets. One waiting. Missing almost two thirds of them.
Eight bags of trash to the dumpster, one load of dead boxes. And that's simply surface debris.
Four loads through the dish washer... including eighteen dirty cat foot-crusted plates from Megan's room. Cat's food area cleaned up impressively; thank you, Crys.
Litterbox for the cat scooped and reset; again, thank you, Crys.
All three piggies cleaned. Cages organized atop my long, mirrored dresser. Mirror completely obstructed (and then some), but I'm fat and hairy so I don't consider it a great loss. No, I'm not being mean to myself, those are simple facts. Working on both. My closet's been rough straightened; needs a bit more work. Forward end of my room, except for the pending load of sheets, completely cleaned. Center region's been started on, but will be the last to be finished; it includes my desk. Rear section is the target for tonight and tomorrow, then I can finish the center.
Unless things go awry, Crys is planning on coming back Friday evening after work. By then, I want to have my room -done-, and the hallway and bathroom clean. Then the real work commences as we attack the smaller of the two mountains of boxes.
Molly got some floor time; she's actually warming up and not hiding 24/7. Gus is MUCH more active; the combination of bigger cage and better environment is doing wonders for him. In the neglect they've seen by dwelling in the cave Megan calls a room, they've both got nails so overgrown that my tasks now include Veterinarian runs to have them tended to.
Provided I'm walking better tomorrow (I managed to wrench the knee again today, though the recovery period is MUCH smaller now), also included is a Home Depot run to get a trash can for the kitchen. If funding allows, it'll also get a trashcan for the bathroom and some more fuel for the Explorer.
