INFP - the Healer
You scored 27% I to E, 15% N to S, 28% F to T, and 52% J to P!

You are more introverted than extroverted. You are more intuitive than
observant, you are more feeling based than thinking based, and you
prefer to go with the flow rather than having a plan. Your type can
best be summarized by the word "Healer", which belongs to the larger
group of idealists. You have a capacity for caring that is deeper than
most. You strive for unity, are fascinated by the battles between good
and evil, and can be something of an idealist. Only 1% of the
population shares your type.

As a romantic partner, you are usually supprtive and nuturing, however,
you have a high need for individuality. Harmony is extremely important
to you as you are very affected by conflict and tension, which also
makes you resist confronting your partner directly about problems. When
you get angry, you usually blame yourself, rather than your partner.
You can also be stubborn and unyielding when you feel you are being
criticized or mistreated. You feel the most appreciated when your
partner listens to you carefully. You need to be understood. You need
to hear your partner express their feelings, the more often, the
better.

Careful experimentation has revealed that the right knee isn't completely useless. Oddly, it was a trip to the bathroom and attempts to reach the fallen (noisily) crutches. So long as the knee's bent between 10 and 20 degrees, it will hold my weight without pain or strain. I can't begin to describe just how totally odd that seems to me, considering that if I dare put ANY weight on it when it's completely straight, the resultant pain explosion puts me on the floor gasping for breath. Just once I'd like to have a -typical- malady; I end up with shit that I need to go look up after being told I've got something bizarre I've never even HEARD of.

I'm far more likely to have a xenomorph burst out of my chest and tapdance on my wounded (but-not-quite-mortally) body for a bit.

Anyway, in other news:
  • No, Crys, I was just venting at the absurdity of the situation. I'm not intending to drive until I'm consistently able to get about using just the cane; should something happen on the road, I need to be able to deal with it.
  • THIS is hysterical. To me, at least.
  • THIS is actually pretty interesting. Almost half of the folk I consider family subscribe to some form of organized Christianity, and more than a few of them are Catholic. But religious meanings aside, it's fascinating from a historical perspective.
  • With all the chatter about Adobe buying Macromedia, I have to agree with the [livejournal.com profile] wibbble: THIS is a scream. :)

I think that's about it for now. I've been struggling with this post in an effort to keep the vitriolic acid content down; my mood's not been the best the last few days. With it ricocheting wildly between deep depression and volcanic rage, I've not been the best of company. Here's to hoping things improve.

Before I go postal and whip out a can of Crutch Fu on some poor bastard.

[EDIT]
Yeah, while I'm wishing for miracles... I want a Grim Reaper reunion, dammit.
Carry on.

Hello, my baby, hello, my honey, hello, my ragtime gal!

Or not.

But, that hacker thread is HILARIOUS. :D

This is fun, but not quite as hysterically funny: http://info.ccone.at/INFO/Mail-Archives/redhat/Oct-2004/msg00527.html

And then of course, here is the ultimate hacker tool: http://blort.org/~kgasso/images/how-to-catch-script-kiddies.gif

Hello, my baby, hello, my honey, hello, my ragtime gal!
Send me a kiss by wire; baby my heart's on fire!
If you refuse me, honey, you'll lose me,
Then you'll be left alone;
Oh, baby, telephone,
And tell me I'm your own.

*cough* Having grown up on that particular Warner Brothers cartoon...

Anyway. Thanks for the pair of links; they were good for another set of snickers at the rampant idiocy out there. :)

I know this is completely irrelevant

You know, I keep reading your posts on my 'catchup' days...and I realize this morning (after getting home on a nice 9 hour stretch of voidless calls) - you would be, like, teh_most awesome writer author person.

Yeah, I know that sounds fsked up and borderline mocking (I'm tired, stressed and inarticulate at the moment, quite honestly), but no, I mean it. I honestly think you have a style worth reading.

As I said - irrelevant to this post, but. I thought I should mention. 6.6; But! IN regard to the post(s) *HUGZoarz*
