Jul. 15th, 2003 10:52 pmAn attempt to describe the dress being finished up goes like this:
This is the pattern: http://www.sewbridal.com/Patterns/3449/body_3449.html ... the black and white one. The open neckline's been filled with white and the flounce removed, the ribbonlacing on the back's been replaced with a Victorian-styled button line that goes all the way up to the (again) Victorian standing collar, and the cuffs are now Victorian-esque white turnbacks. This is the dress the idea for the cuffs was taken from, with the colors inverted: http://home.att.ne.jp/theta/pare/118.html ... The collar idea came from this one: http://home.att.ne.jp/theta/pare/83.html (both of these Pare Ideal dresses are outfits I intend to own someday)
I'll leave it up to Sapphire (or maybe Vulpin, if he still reads here) to chime in after the weekend, and tell me how accurate the description is. One thing's for sure: I'm way out of shape. *sigh* I'm terrified that I'm going to look like a house. If there are pictures, and I don't shred/burn them, I'll put something up later. I just have the horrible feeling that folks are gonna go 'Hey, look, it's Shamu!' when I walk into a room.
Oh well. Nothing to do but to do it, and hope for the best. I figure it's okay to be terrified, so long as I don't let it stop me. I think. This is the kind of time I -REALLY- wish Lady Winter were still around. There's probably something relevant that I've completely overlooked in the dithering bunnypanic that sets in... someday I hope to find an anchored person or two that could find joy in having a bunnymaid. A big one, but a bunny nonetheless.
Being this large is -not- the comfort most would guess. It makes it harder to hide...
And I think I'm officially babbling, now, so I'll shut up.
*hugs*
