Look out, Dooku. The Ellie's gonna open up a can o' whuparse on ya. *snickers*
At any rate, I'm mostly just sorta here. Listening to Tom Smith tunes (and wishing I had the scratch to spare to buy full albums... good artists should be supported) and sorting tags and ratings in iTunes. Withdrawal symptoms have completely abated now. My pain levels /are/ a bit higher than normal, but nowhere near as high as I expected. If this cycle (15 days) of patches is consistent at that level, I'll stay at the 25mcg/hour level. Because of the size of the 50's they don't stick very well, but the 25's are small enough to go most anywhere.
I need to go out and hit the bank in a bit, and then the grocery store. I'm sliding in and out of a manic state today; it's a definite change from the consistent blues of the last few weeks. I shouldn't revel in it, but ... it's nice to be relatively UP for a bit, so screw it. I'm taking all my meds, and it'll level out eventually. And that's about it on this end.
*hugs*

Date: 2004-05-26 10:04 pm (UTC)As for the meds... they're there to keep the pain at a roughly tolerable level. I've been diagnosed with acute fibromyalgia and osteo arthritis. The doc switched me over to the heavier narcotic management meds after soaring pain levels triggered a trio of micro strokes and put me out of work.

Date: 2004-05-26 10:43 pm (UTC)well, i don't know! do i look familiar to you? ;-) hahahahah
moved down here to louisiana a couple of years ago.. spent the 4 or 5 years before that, living in NH.... i might have crossed-paths with you there, if you think we might know each other...
but as for where i found your LJ, i had spent an hour or so, surfing LJs in hopes of finding new folks to friend... i think i came across your Lj when i searched on folks who listed "transgender" as an interest...
sorry to hear about your fibromyalgia and arthritis... at least the docs aren't being stingy and are helping you with the pain meds (when they finally get around to it!)...
hugs
