As for the meds... they're there to keep the pain at a roughly tolerable level. I've been diagnosed with acute fibromyalgia and osteo arthritis. The doc switched me over to the heavier narcotic management meds after soaring pain levels triggered a trio of micro strokes and put me out of work.
