Nov. 16th, 2003 04:31 pmOdd bits.
Did a bit of window shopping... trying to get prices on a chair for me, cleaning supplies, packing boxes, shelving... hit four places today. It'll take some time to boil down the raw numbers, but at least it's a start.
Cruised through CompUSA, so I could at least look at the box for Final Fantasy XI... and discovered that 'no money to buy it' is actually the least of my worries. Some of you will remember my whining, whimpering, and final mad scramble to upgrade the video card in my PC; I finally settled on the ATI 'Radeon 7000 64mb DDR with TV out' board. It seemed a solid, middle of the road performer that would /easily/ handle everything I did or wanted to do.
*snerk* Turns out I was wrong. :p FFXI requires a Radeon 9000 or better, or a GeForce 3 or better. Which puts me in the 'out of luck' department. Ah well. Game itself is $50, which is out of the budget /anyway/... but the box is really pretty. :p
I seem to -finally- be getting over the cold/flu/sickness thingi that nailed me Friday... another day and I should be solidly on my feet again. I've got some jumbo trashbags, so I'm thinking I'll try and nail down a bag or two of debris from the addition while I'm making dinner. Gotta get -something- done each day. 's the plan, you see. :) Yesterday was 'disinfect the microwave'... possibly the grodiest thing I've had to do in recent memory. I think I used have a bottle of cleaner...
And the DSL seems to be (for the moment) behaving itself. All told, it's a fairly decent day; 'm not having much luck shaking off the 'blue' that hit last week, but I'm trying to push through it.
In the meantime, I need to start butchering dinner. :p
*hugs*
