cabbitzillaI'm about to start smashing things.
I'm surrounded by a PILE of cdrom drives... 8 of them, NOT counting the two in this Athlon, the one in Megan's Celeron 550 machine, and the one in the Mac G3.
You'd think that ONE of these extra drives would work... but apparently that's too much to ask for. Every time I've managed to coax Mandrake or RedHat into starting to install, things error out on read problems. So now I'm faced with the need to disassemble a perfectly working machine in order to 'borrow' the CDROM... which annoys me.
Seriously.
