No kidding!!! My Mom put it on my Birth Certificate that way. She didn't wante me called 'Liz'... but not that it made a difference.
But it's so annoying to tell people that your name is Elisabeth... with an 's'. When they get to the 's', you have to spell it out the rest of the way! So I just shortened it to Lisa in order to save my own sanity.
