Also in rural VA, we're literally snowed in. I'm ten minutes from the nearest grocery store and I'm glad we're not dependent on the grid for heat, even if it is a pain in the arse to chop wood for the wood stove. If we lose power, we're going to be chucking frozen chicken into the snowbanks this area hasn't seen in YEARS to keep them from spoiling and cooking dinner on top of the cast iron stove. :} I'm from the frozen North and this is a blizzard, even by my standards.
