And once again the technical methodology of the Gorn proves to be the key. The backup machine, Annex, has registry issues. It also was choking completely on any form of video that wasn't Shockwave-based. This weekend I'm going to try and do the full reinstall, but was determined to make the video problem go away in the interim. After pounding on it most of the evening, I now have VLC working cleanly again.

So what do I do with it? Watch a few AMVs I'd seen a dozen times or more, then decide it was time for bed. :p

Since all I got from my last post was the lonely chirping of a cricket, I'm guessing nobody's got the hardware I was looking for. Not terribly surprising, that, since I'm one of the few that hoards random parts. Ah well, it was worth trying.

Anyway, I've been entertaining myself with a 'Chain of Song Titles' meme that shikyrie put up in his journal. I'm tempted to start one here, but I think I'll wait a bit until his wraps up. It's been amusing thus far. :)

Anywho, 's time for sleepies. G'nite, peeps.

I'm sorry that I outright missed your other post, love. Work has me turned around fifteen ways to Sunday and I get about as much sleep as a kitten on crack. :P

Sadly I don't have an unused case or a 775 processor/sink. :/

I've got an old case lying around that I'm not using, however, I don't know how good it is anymore, since someone left it lying open after I gutted it, and kitties may have decided to make a bed out of it. No processors or fans though that match those specs.

Also, feel free to direct anyone interested in the music link toward my blog, and have them comment on the "welcome" post, and I'll friend them so they can participate.

Also, glad to see you weathered yesterday's storms all right.
