The viewings and service are today, down at Rausch Funeral Home. The graveside service is on hold at the moment; she's to be laid to rest next to her second husband, but Arlington National Cemetary has a waiting list. Today is mostly for closure for the out of town relatives, as only the immediate family and grandma's surviving sister will attend the burial.

I don't believe any of my local folk here at LJ ever even met my grandmother, sadly. She's the one responsible for the code of ethics that I use as a backplane, though; if you've run up against me there, then you've at least met her by proxy. She was a wonderful lady would could be a major hardass when she felt it necessary. She's the second of my most precious and dear to step forward from this cycle... it's why I've been almost entirely absent. Being online is hard when you're spending your time crying.

But I know there are folk here who worry about me, particularly when something major hits, so I wanted to put up a small post and let them know I'm still sorta here. Crys and Kelly have been amazingly generous; I'm staying here at the moment since it puts me 10 minutes from the trailer in case Mom needs me (it's almost an hour from the apartment).

There're some other things going on as well, little side stories and events that I'll try and summarize when I've got a bit tighter control of my emotions; right now I'm too frazzled to do much besides this. Nothing particularly bad, a couple bright spots, and a lot of '... whatever' kind of things. *sigh* I need to go curl my hair, now. I'll be back when I can.
