Megan Madness... NO Angst, even! :)

So we've just gotten home, having stopped and grabbed a not-very-quick bite to eat (sorry, Crys!), and I'm shedding layers and retreating into the silk pants and top I use as pajamas when Megan hits me with a question.
Megan: All those CDs that've been coming for you? What's on them?

[Music, as some of you know ENTIRELY too well, is one of those topics where once my 'on' button is pushed, there's no retreating. Deal. :p]

Me: Hawkwind, Styx, some REO Speedwagon, and more Styx.
Megan: Oooh! I like Styx!
Me: *blinks* *blinks again* Oh? Er... which songs?

She procedes to belt out (and not far off key) chorus' to Suite Madame Blue [1975 - Equinox], Fooling Yourself, Come Sail Away, Miss America [all from 1977's The Grand Illusion], and Renegade [1978 - Pieces of Eight]. My shock deepens... and then turns into a soft, (Megan says) insane-sounding giggle...

Megan: What?! You're creeping me out! What?
Me, between giggles: The -newest- of those songs came out the year you were born...

She promptly turned red and vanished into her room. This morning she'd been picking on me for discovering me listening to an old Simon & Garfunkel track, telling me it was 'silly' to listen to music made before you were born. :p


Other than that? Group was interesting, but I'll do more on that topic once my intestines resume behaving themselves. *hugs*

Hey there... real real sorry I could not get finished before I had to head out of town, I finished the rest of the Hawkwind that I could not get done before DHL picked up. I'll do the rest of the Rush stuff, Boston and what ever eles I had 'to cook'. May need a reminder if and when I ever get back ^giggles^. Glad you are enjoying them and have something to smile about.

*chuckles. Right. No one listens to Beethoven, Mozart, or Tchaikovsky anymore! Or John Philip Sousa. After all, the music was written well before any of us were born. ;) Just like I don't listen to any pre-1976 Beatles. Nor do I listen to any of The Moody Blues...nope... :)
