This Is Important
Oct. 28th, 2004 03:58 pmI'm at the Glen Burnie house for a bit; meeting Crys and Megan here with the goal of loading the Explorer and the Escape Crys is driving now, to be unloaded at the apartment tomorrow mid-day. I'm fatigued to the point where I'm getting nothing done unless there's someone there to keep me focused... which is seriously hampering my unpacking efforts to clear space for new boxes. I managed to lug the monster tote up to the apartment; the vast bulk of that is sheets and towels that'll all go into the hall closet, freeing that tote up to go -back- to Crys and Kelly's and the mountain of laundry I have stacked in their guest bedroom. With the exception of the (still in Glen Burnie) desk and tv stand, the framework of my room is now done; that shuffle and sort was aided by Crys taking a longish lunch and popping over to the apartment. Hopefully there'll be some energy tonight to start uncasing some of the stuff for my room.
Still no DSL modem today, though given my luck of late FedEx showed up five minutes after I pulled out of the lot. :p *shakes her head* Moving right along...
For those that're in the area:
I need to do a big push on Saturday; if necessary the stuff already in the apartment will be pushed to the side and restacked to make room. I /have/ to get the bulk of the stuff out of this house with HFC (FSoFS) threatening foreclosure. Plan is to meet here at the Glen Burnie house noonish on Saturday, stuff every vehicle we can get our hands on full, then caravan it all to Columbia and get it into the apartment. So far, I've got two lady friends (mutual for Megan and I) and an S-10 pickup, Megan and the Saturn, Me and the Explorer, and (hopefully) Crys and the Escape booked for the first trip. There will likely be a second (and God help us all, a third) trip, and onwards until I fall over or die or pass out or start screaming profanities in German, Polish, and Russian. If you can help, email me via the@livejournal.com address - it forwards to my normal mail client. I can provide directions to those that need them. Don't worry if your vehicle's small; there're several that'll have spots for passengers if it's too small to load or there's gasoline funding issues.
Yes, this is an official Begging For HelpTM post. And it's entirely possible that Sunday will be a repeat of Saturday, so if that's the issue I suspect I can work around it, ja né?
