cabbitzillaManaged to get a handful of totes over to the apartment today, trying to work around my therapy appointments and the makeup test Megan had for her class. I feel...well, having actually BEEN run over by a truck once upon a time, I've got it as a benchmark, and would greatly have preferred the truck.
Garbage disposal is still flatlined in the apartment; I'll need to swing through the leasing office and find out when that'll be fixed. The vacuum got unpacked, only to discover that we needed a screwdriver to put the damned thing together. It's tucked into the coat closet, awaiting me remembering tools to finish it. The paper towel rack also is in need of a screwdriver to complete installation. There's clean drinking glasses and silverware at the apartment now as well; after four years of paper plates and plastic utensils, having the real stuff will be a pleasure.
Of course, there's no furniture. Unless you count the commode, but that kind of throne isn't generally viewed as guest seating. I'm hoping to have access to a couple more bodies and vehicles tomorrow, though nothing's set in stone. And the future arrangement of living room furnishings is proving to be a bone of contention with Megan; she may not know it yet, but that particular facet -will- be the way I specify even if I've got to lock her in a closet until it's all set up. I'm not going to spend the next year climbing -over- a sofa to get out to the balcony for a cigarette, and that is most certainly that.
*sighs* And that's all I have. I'm going to clean up a bit and then go lose myself in RO.
