Highly amused...
Jul. 16th, 2004 07:02 pmThis morning I happened to step outside for a smoke while one of my neighbors was out painting his fence. We got to talking and favorite films, and discovered that we each had one the other was really wanting to see. So I limped back inside and fetched Kung Pow and handed it over for a copy of Army of Darkness.
Now I'd seen AoD before, sorta; I'd seen the first half one night, and then caught the second half about a week later. It was fun, but having the flow disrupted ruined the rhythm of the film. So this afternoon, I curled up in my chair and popped it into the DVD drive in the Athlon... and giggled like a lunatic for an hour and a half. And discovered that I'd never actually seen the -ending-.
*giggles more* There's a pleasure to be had watching Bruce Campbell ham it up on screen, and the interactions between 'good' Ash and 'evil' Ash are hysterical to watch. All things considered, a lovely way to spend an afternoon. It would've been more fun were someone here to laugh -with-, though.
Anyway, that's mostly what's been going on here. I need to forage for foodlike substances, though that'll likely wait a bit yet. I've been good today... a bowl of fruit loops for breakfast, and some ravioli for lunch, so I'm not in the haven't eaten yet crunch that seems to be my norm nowadays.
Before I forget: Thank you, Crys. *snugs*
So off I wander. Places to see, people to dream about doing, and so forth.
Come get some.

Hail to the King, baby.

Good... Bad... I'm the one with the gun.

Yes, I've actually told one of my neighbors to take a flying fsck at a rolling donut, though it wasn't a matter of smoke. I smoke outside where it'll likely dissipate... and even when it's pouring rain or snowing, that's where I go to smoke. Given that I've been smoking for a quarter of a century, now, anyone that gives me grief about it when I'm already putting myself out is going to get the rough side of my tongue. *shakes her head* No clue, love.
