This is a warning to anyone out there using Traveler's Insurance on their apartment or home.

When Megan and I moved into the original apartment (#296), she opened an insurance policy with them. At the time, I simply rolled my eyes; neither of us had much of -anything- worth stealing... and we were on the second floor. Unless they were spiderman or brought a ladder, they weren't getting past the deadbolt.

The policy was cancelled this past September. And again in October. And twice in November. Twice again in December. Et cetera, et cetera, ad infinitum, ad nauseum.

They're currently threatening me with a collection agency, wanting to bill me for... get this... January through March of -this- year. For a policy that was cancelled over nine months ago. 'Irate' doesn't even come close to my mood on this one, as I now consider Travelers to be the very worst kind of scumsucking thieves. They're demanding $115.00, money I don't have considering I'm going to have to make partial payments to both AT&T and BG&E this month.

If you're insured through Travelers, you just -might- want to look for a different carrier. IF you are, and you do, make damned sure you get the cancellation in writing. Learn from this.
