(no subject)

Yesterday's therapy appointment was cancelled... which was a good thing considering I'd had -0- sleep. I'm tired, worn, a bit cranky... but none of those are new things for me. My nerves are a bit raw, which means Megan's attempts to be sociable are rubbing me the wrong way, but I'll cope. I'm going to hop outside for a smoke, and maybe sit down and watch a movie.

I think that's all I have to say.

oh, wow.

The Incredibles. At the risk of trivializing it.... OMFG!!!

Pixar truly outdid themselves here. In each of the prior Pixar films, there always seemed to be one character (and usually a main character) who literally annoyed the crap out of me. Here? No. Even the villain of the piece was suitable and non irritating. He was vicious, petty, and appropriately evil. Power descriptions and the usage of them were solid.

And best of all, the kids in the movie really -acted- like kids, right down to their reactions to danger and acting under fire.

Favorit moments:

• Dash. Cloud of bugs.
• Dash. Walks on water, accompanied by music straight out of a James Bond film.
• Syndrome. "You married ElastiGirl?! And Got BUSY!"
• Parallel parking an RV. One word. DAMN. :p
• ElastiGirl. "We're supers. What can happen?" *someone screams* :p
• Dash. "That was the Best Vacation EVER!" *flump*
• Little kid. "That was TOtally WICKED!".

And near the end of the movie, Jack Jack makes up for the lack of on-scream time by totally stealing the scene.
