Today was... interesting.

When Tina left the employment of Omni House, all of her cases were split up between the two remaining therapists. I've seen this happen at Omni before, and was dreading the result; the manager for the clinic is a clueless fsckwit and puts no actual thought into who should go where. I wasn't looking forward to the process, given that I knew some of the other therapists and they ranged from 'no knowledge where it would be needed' to 'utter twit'. The two worst possible choices seemed likely: Art, the manager of the clinic (described above), or Linda... who makes 'yuppy' look relaxed and open minded. Every time I see her the words 'stiff' and 'frigid' come to mind.

It would seem, at least on the surface, that I got lucky. My case, and the cases of two of the three other 'hanging in the wind' GID patients all got assigned to Robin, one of the two new folk that just came in. Open in expression, good sense of humor, and fairly well grounded, she also comes to Omni with GID case experience, and she does volunteer work with the city handling the teenaged GID cases that come in through social services.

I went in cold. It's why I didn't sleep last night. But the session went far better than I had any right to expect, and I'm slowly mellowing out from the earlier angst and worry state I was in. Coupled with some feedback from some legal folk, my mood is nearly 'cheerful' today. We shall just have to see where this ends up.

For those that track such things, when I post this up I'll be taking the G3 Mac offline for some hardware tinkering. Since it's the heart of the LAN here, it means -I- will be offline for a bit. I'll reappear once I'm happier with things Macintosh.

*hugs*
