While we were away this weekend doing the cabinet run, Regina apparently worked 15 hour days in here. All that remains to be packed (note that I did not say move) is the back bedroom, a tiny bit in the kitchen, and the likely very very messy job in the addition.
There're three piles of boxes here; living room and miscellaneous, my room, and Megan's room. My pile is by -far- the smallest of the three... but there is a stack of aging computer hardware that I need to go through and sort into a keep pile and a ditch pile. Getting the piles of boxes out of here will be a major chore; because we were away all weekend, and I was tied up with cabinet unloading and doctor appointments yesterday, there's not a whole lot of unpacking that's been done at the apartment... so there's not a lot of space to put things. Again I have a distinct advantage; I've got a plot of my room in my mind, and know where most of the gear is going. My dresser and both storage cabinets are there, so things can be offloaded directly into their new homes. Megan... is up sh!t creek there. *shrugs* Not my problem. I'll give her a couple weeks, and then I'll start moving all the remaining boxes of stuff into the appropriate rooms. Yes, that includes any I haven't gotten unpacked as well. The snag I'm going to hit is the lack of bookcases in my room... but there're two here, one of which is already unloaded, that will occupy key places in my bedroom. It should all shake out okay.
The truck gets returned today. I'm dreading the over-allowed-mileage charges. At the moment, I'm sitting here trying to go through my desk... another 'dread' in the list. It's been six years since it's been emptied and sorted; God only knows what's in it at this point. And off I go again. Woot, or something.
