Actually, I was home yesterday, but there were an awful lot of things going on, and I never managed to get around to posting. The convention was wonderful, truly marvelous, and featured some sizeable surprises for both Sapphire and myself. There will be more on some of the surprises as we go; there are some folks I desperately need to get ahold of and talk things over with, preferably BEFORE they see something here in my journal and leap to inaccurate conclusions. I just prefer to be a bit less messy, nowadays.

The dress garnered me a considerable amount of compliments and one out-of-the-blue marriage proposal (which was nervously withdrawn after I explained my pre-op trans status), so I'm going to call it a success. Megan did a dynamite job on it, and really pulled it all together for me.

I met some really nifty people, reacquainted myself with others, and managed to totally redefine a decade-old friendship into something... very different. And while I -did- manage to foul up my food and water intake, I didn't do the total headcrash that usually follows a con, so I think I might be improving. Or it's a fluke. Either way, I'm taking what I can get. :p

Anyway, I'm going to wobble off for a bit of a nap. I should be around tonight...

The sunset was marvelous tonight.

I want this joy to last forever, but I know that it won't. It can't, really... in an imperfect world, perfection is rapidly destroyed in the rare instances that it occurs. But I'm going to embrace it and nurture it for as long as I can.

So now that the sun's down, I turn my attention to other things. I'm twiddling about with various real estate listing sites, poking at houses and such curiously to try and get a feel for relative property values. Basically noodling about.

That was kinda odd. Nifty in a way, but still odd. I had a lovely chat with John tonight, and much more fun with Lady Sapphire... and that's really about it. Very tame, very ... scary thought... very normal. :p I'll have to try harder. In the meantime, I'm going to ramble on. There're things I need to find, yet, and lots of mayhem to cause. :)
