That thing I pay money to Verizon DSL to not have to use?

*sigh*

'Intermittent synch' issues with the DSL. After spending nearly five hours with techsupport tonight (and managing to keep my temper in check and amusement in play, miraculously enough), there's now a trouble ticket in to have diags run on the line to the house. If that turns up nothing, they're replace the modem.

Tuesday at the earliest. Probably later.

*tears her hair out and rends her garments and generally gets Biblical like Job*

Right. So.... where's the whale I'm supposed to go for a ride in?

Oi. Well. Grr. Those of you that're used to seeing me all the time... well.... I'm mostly offline. Smo-kee... sweetie, you need to call me. Scheduling via Y!M is no longer feasible for me. :(

Well, this is my result from the Human Virus Scanner...

Heh. Don't own a Mac. Have -never- owned a Mac. Owned an Amiga for a while (and loved it, and miss it horribly), but never a Mac. Worked on 'em a bit at the college, though. The Discordia one kinda loops me... while I have friends who maintain that -they- are Discordians, I've not even seriously -looked- at it. Hippyism? Right on, man. Far out. Pass the doobie. *toke* Yeah, man... that's some good sh*t, too... hey, look at that cloud, man. Don't that look like JFK?

Hail Brittania? No way. I own too many televisions... the taxes would wipe me out. :p *hugs for her UK folk, who should know she's teasing by now*

And that's likely all the scattershot from me tonight. I'm going to try and find my pal Snoops, and play some M:tG. The minimal traffic it creates won't bog the dialup down too badly.

It's been a bumpy day. Yes. That's a good way to put it.

I went out to the grocery store tonight. Made a list, checked it twice, gonna find out what's on sale at Weis... the whole shebang. Got there, and... disconnected. For 2.5 hours.

For those who've not encountered this with me, it'll sound funny. Tonight contained a two and a half hour long blink, where nothing registered and all the things that are -me- were offline. It's like pulling the monitor plug on a pc... the computer may be running, but you can't -do- anything with it.

So what should've been a 20 minute trip to the store became 3 hours... with the bulk of the time lost to the Void. :(

*sigh*

Maybe I'll curl up under my desk. It's safe there. I... am really not all here at the moment, it rattles me badly when this happens. So it's kinda hard to type, with me shaking like I am.
