... I've found a couple of sites in the last few days with some absolutely adorable art, and been revisiting some of my old favorites:

Pastel Studio	Once inside the site, most of the gallery has English and Japanese. Very pretty work.
ToyBox Online	Home of the iCandies Computer Girls.
Liselotte Erikson	Faeries! :) [Someone passed this link to me just recently... I think it was Kurara-chan.]
Wilde Home for Wayward Catgirls	The name says it all. [I think this one came from rynchan.]
The Art of Cindi Jimu	I know her, but not well (please don't hold that against her!). She does some lovely art, though the site does have some adult content.
Rahshu's Compass	Furry art, hosted by Furnation
Sebastian's Galleries	Some VERY cute stuff here, and a bit of adult stuff too. But it's all well marked, and there's no naughtiness unless you specifically choose it. :)
TerriKitten	Very cool artwork, and a very nifty artist.
Koimizu.com	More very cute art. And the page is PINK! :) [So shoot me already... I LIKE pink!]
Kurara-chan	She keeps insisting that it's not cute, and I keep telling her she's WRONG. It's ADORABLE! [and she's got a cafepress store with one of her cutest drawings HERE.]

And if you get through them and still are hungering for art, there's also The Elfwood Project, or MediaMiner, or even deviantART. Of course, you could conceivably get through all of these sites and not find something you like... in which case you're simply SOL. :p

My mood's better than it was earlier; it's by no means bubbly, but at least I seem to have gotten up out of 'morose'. My desk is now clear enough that I can get to the window behind it and open it up. I have yet to figure out why, but the temperature inside this house flatly refuses to go below 80 degrees fahrenheit during the summer. A window-mounted air conditioner will cool one room, but most of the rooms have windows that slide to the side, rather than the upper/lower double-hung ones. Even when I shut the furnace /off/, and open all the windows and doors, the house refuses to cool down. Which is odd, because it always seems cold in the winter.

I'm praying that it's just me and the recently discovered whacked out thyroid. It'd be nice to get a bit of relief from this three bedroom, one bath sauna. :p At any rate, now that it's past midnight I need to dash off and take my turns at Kingdom of Loathing. Many thankies to endrion for aiming me at that one. :)

Of course, I'm not allowed to be in a friggin non-morose mood. It's as if Megan can SENSE that my mood is lightening; after being in bed for two hours, she just HAD to get up and pester me about the phone bill we're behind on. It's not bad enough that I'm down to one meal a day because her hours have been cut - she makes a SPECIAL TRIP out here to tell me that the DSL may be going away, along with the phone. *pounds her head on the desk* I made a comment several entries back that still applies: I want to know why I can't get ONE STUPID DAY without a disaster. *curls up to cry*
