Sep. 27th, 2003 05:31 amJust a note for those it affects:
As a Trillian user (and a legitimately paid one, at that), I'm suddenly unable to log into the Y!M service. That limits me to only ICQ transport at the moment. More details can be found here: Yahoo walls out Trillian. Folks that've been using a Jabber-based multi-client messenger are -also- walled out. Apparently, Yahoo! has decided that they're not satisfied with a corner of the playground, and are attempting to barricade -everyone- out of the park. Pardon my crassness, but fuck 'em. If the good folks at Cerulean Studios can find a way around this blockage, I -might- turn it back on. I'm going to start looking about for a new webmail provider, I think. I dislike strong-arm tactics... which means my Yahoo (and they can kiss my ass if they think I'll link -them- right now) mail address of nearly 9 years may be going away. I'm feeling peevish; the next few days will see if I get over myself and just go on with things. :p
