The premise is make a list of 5 to 10 [or in the case of the indecisive KT3, 15 :)] CDs that most people you know wouldn't have heard of but which they should definitely hear.

This should be entertaining. :) Here are mine... note that some of these -are- a bit obscure, but they're -ALL- worth at least a listen:
01Children of the Sun ... RevisitedBilly Thorpe
02Outside Looking InBoDeans
03Everybody Loves a NutJohnny Cash
04Hall of the Mountain KingSavatage
05Slightly SkewedMolly & the Tinker
06Allied ForcesTriumph
07High TeaThe New Saint George
08Surfing to MeccaTempest
09FirestormLeslie Fish
10Seasons of the HeartJohn Denver

Narrowing that down to ten was difficult. There're releases that're far more recent than these (the most recent of which is [I think] the 1992 Molly & the Tinker release), but few that I find more potent. I've avoided repeating an artist (as I could do with Savatage, Leslie Fish, and Johnny Cash) in favor of a more versatile list. I'm curious to see if -anyone- on my friends list has more than two of these. :p Unfortunately, there're two listings (#05 and #07) that /I/ no longer own copies of.

At any rate... have fun!

I've the cassette, love. That was my last year doing the faire circuit, due to health, financial, and emotional reasons (Working for Nathan in Texas and the first part of Bristol nearly killed me). My passion for M&T can be directly attributed to (blamed on? *giggle*) Doug and Ysabet. I'd hooked up with them early on in the run of Bristol, and the Pig & Whistle performance of M&T was a daily hit.

I'm fairly certain that if it had not been for Doug and Ysabet's intervention, and the from-the-shadows interventions of a couple of others, that Bristol would have destroyed me. The 'family' I was traveling with had self-destructed in Texas, my travelling mate had become a rampaging alcoholic, and I had taken to spending long hours sitting out in the parking lot staring at the horizon. While there are some good memories... it was not a good time for me.

Insane is probably a -gentle- way to put my state... and is probably why we didn't directly cross paths then.
