My posts here of late have been mostly of the 'fluff' variety. The handful of folks I regularly chat with tend to know more, but I've not done much to let the -rest- of my family know what's going on. I'm going to try and fix that, here, and apologize in advance in case this winds up on the long side.

Nutshell Synopsis: I'm tired.

It really isn't anything more severe than that, though fatigue is often a major problem with me. In the last month and a half I've attended two conventions, done an intense cleaning on my house (in spite of disparaging comments), and begun attending an actual transgender support group. That's in addition to the normal load of dealing with the already noted vast gulf of differences between my priorities and Megan's, verbal barrages from blood kin, financial disaster 101, and the elevated pain levels that've become 'normal' for me. It makes for a pretty nasty load, all things considered; just the 'normal' parts of it have shredded me in the past.

What's keeping me moving is the presence of my Lady in the back of my mind. It's a sensation that I think only a few of my people here can truly understand; my best attempt at a description was quite colorful and featured a tightrope walker, an umbrella, and a platypus.

Don't ask. I'm not sure I could reconstruct it. But the person I was trying to explain to nearly wet themselves laughing. *lopsided grin* If I could be funny on demand, I could make enough money to solve some of the problems. Oh well.

At any rate, AnthroCon and Otakon are both past. And while it would be super spiff to get to go to DragonCon, I'm currently filing that one under 'pipe dreams' and not holding my breath. :p My own finances are a disaster, as has been documented in the past, and the folks who've in the past proven to be benefactors are all A) overtaxed, B) focused on other things, and/or C) simply not to be expected to fund my every whim. :p *chuckle* It's wonderful to get treated to a convention, yes, but it's a luxury. :) Besides, I'm planning on pestering those I know that -are- going to D*C for lots and lots of pictures. :)

My email exchanges with Aeris/Electrolux ultimately proved fruitless, once again proving the truth of Caveat Emptor (I -think- I spelled that right), which translates as 'Let the Buyer Beware'. Beware, indeed. It would be my advice to AVOID ELECTROLUX UPRIGHT VACUUMS. They're much more trouble than they're worth, tremendously overpriced, and customer support sucks rocks. As an interim measure, I continue to use a broom on my carpets... while it's not exactly a satisfactory substitute, it still does MUCH better than the 2500 Series Vacuum.

*frowns as Mozilla starts to evidence signs of the dreaded memory leak crash* It's better now than it was... hopefully the next revision or so will finally lock it down. And that's really all there is from me, for the moment. I think I'm going to be firing up a game of some sort and lose myself for a bit.Maybe I'll install Star Trek: Armada I & II.

*hugs*
