Okay THIS is just so ... wrong. :p But I really really really needed a good laugh tonight.

And now for the much lauded

RP, when I could get my connection to behave itself, was delightful tonight... A lovely wedding in one window, and a touching 'getting to know you' scene in the other. Of course, Mindspring just -had- to pick tonight to misbehave it's worst in nearly two months. Bastiches.

Dr B, darling, enjoy your honeymoon... and Lyse, thank you. Not to be confused with Lys, who's -also- offered me some delightful RP in the past. One's a cutie Handmaiden, the other's a cutie down south who just had a birthday. *chuckle*

Why'm I still up? Well, it's quite simple, really. The washer 'walks'... and it unplugged itself earlier. Which means redoing this load... and there's one more that needs to be done. I'm hoping the result will be an Ellie tired enough to ignore the pain and simply pass out for a while. I don't always get what I want... we'll have to wait and see.

Earlier conversation with a much loved dolly finally gave me some insight on just what the heck I'm supposed to do with Ultima Weapon: bail out for the moment and get the gear I'm missing, then try again later. While it's not the answer I was really hoping for, it does explain things; my over reliance on GFs is what hamstrung me. Time to get the rest of the stuff up to snuff. So I'll fight my way out of the Deep Sea Research Facility and go island hopping.

And the high point of my evening:
In the course of the Wedding and Reception RP, we were attacked (long story... those that know SMT and the madness that happens there will understand, though) by a stylized representation of none other than Martha Stewart... and her Pastel Ninjas of AntiTackiness... While the other characters busied themselves with preventing the Ninjas from destroying the reception, one character felt somehow provoked and angered by Martha herself. After much verbal exchange, this was the resulting pose:
The mallet snaps down on Martha's head with a blinding flash of purple energy. And where Martha once stood.... now stands an -ancient- male chihuahua in checkered pants, plaid shirt, striped blazer, and (mismatched) argyle socks. A -bald- chihuahua. With big liver spots. Connie smiles brightly as the mallet de-rezzes, and holds out a mirror so 'Martha' can look at herself...

Overly mean, perhaps... but at the time it was nothing short of hysterical. Never give anime morphing powers to a teenager. :p

And my connection's playing games again. You'd think that the twits at Earthlink/Mindspring would have had enough amusement at my expense already. It's stable now, ... *sighs as the modem lights flicker out... then back on... then out again* Posting quickly...
