I have no insurance. I have no prescription coverage. I have no dental coverage. I have no optical coverage.
I have Medicare A & B. This and $1.04 will get me a cup of coffee at Denny's.
My teeth are literally falling out of my head. My glasses are so far out of date that using them causes a blinding headache. Every 15 days, I go deeper into debt with Crys, needing the $110 for the Duragesic patches that keep the pain levels sorta at bay. I'm stuck in clinics. Specifically, I'm stuck at this particular clinic. There, I'm grandfathered in under an old 'poverty relief' program; my visits are free (or damned near at $2.00 an appointment)... if I move to another clinic, the per appointment fee jumps to almost $35.
None of the 'fix the medicare system' prescription card plans will accept me because I'm under 40; I've tried 19 different plans now and been bounced by all of them.
I'm expecting to be told this coming wednesday that I'm 'on the waiting list' for a qualified therapist... where I'll sit ad infinitum.
