Nov. 6th, 2004 08:33 amI'm going to be out of the loop for most of the day, folks. In a bit less than two hours Megan and I will be meeting with a real estate investor who might be interested in the house as a future rental/sale property. On the surface it sounds promising, but this is also an agent who does a LOT of work with HFC. If I understand things correctly, we'd get nothing for the house if she were to take it and HFC would be paid off in full, with the alternative being foreclosure. My thoughts, in no particular order, are:
Lys, sweetie, you're the one I need to hear from, since you've got practical experience in this realm from (prior) employment. If HFC does foreclose and take the house, am I responsible for the remaining balance of the loans after they've sold the property?
- HFC is rapidly becoming the incarnation of vicious treachery. Their tactics are virtually identical to the sandbox bully in pre-school. I see absolutely no point whatsoever in doing them a favor.
- The 'benefit' to selling the house is avoiding bankruptcy... ostensibly to prevent further damage to our credit ratings. But Megan and I have a combined credit rating of -60-; there's precious little that can be done to drop it more than... 60 points. Given the choice of A) getting -0- money back from the house in order to pay the loans of completely, or B) getting -0- money back from the house and shanking HFC as much as I possibly can, I kinda lean towards option B. Yes, I'm being 'petty' and 'unreasonable'; I suspect you'd feel similar after three years of being called 5+ times per day to be badgered and harassed.
- I. Am. Tired. Of. This. Bullshit.
