nightambre's hubby Jon was already out front waiting for me to arrive. I spent about 20 minutes prowling back and forth though the house, finally finding a starting point of sorts. I put a couple things into the Explorer...
... and Jon slid into the role of master moving tech, and began loading the Explorer faster than I could keep up with. By the time Crys and Kelly arrived at 1430, the Explorer was already mostly loaded. Jon was finding nooks and crannies to stuff more stuff into, and just under half of the third bedroom had been milled through. Crys dropped immediately into the processing position she'd been in here when we rolled through a dozen or so boxes, with Kelly dropping into a loading/packing role alongside Jon.
And then there wasn't anything else left in the little room to sort. The two record cabinets were moved to the living room by Jon, who didn't even bother to unload them first... while I stared in amazement. Kelly's Camry was backed into the yard and loaded much like the Explorer; far more things went in than there should have been space for. When the dust settled, what remained in the living room of things to go was at most two trips in the Explorer. Two record cabinets, a couple of small boxes, and a lot of little odds and ends. There're residual pieces to go down to Crys and Kelly's basement, and a run of pieces over to Lore of things we found as the third bedroom was excavated. Once the remainder is out, I can open up the addition and set off the bug bombs; there's no way in hell I'm going into that area before that. For all intents and purposes, it's been open to the elements and God only knows what else, and there's no telling what's out there. I'm expecting 75%->85% loss of what's out there.
And then the house is done. I've got some stuff here that I need to unpack to finish up my room, and a half ton of stuff that needs to be sorted/tossed/repacked. I... I may actually have my LIFE back by the middle of November. I... am going to go play some KoL. Relax. Unwind a bit. Pass out. The usual. :p
