Jul. 11th, 2006 09:21 amHome from work early. Bleah.
I'd honestly thought that the creeping crud that nailed me Sunday night and had me in the bathroom most of Monday was residual from a bad salad from McD's. Gradually, I'd stopped needing to stay 30 seconds from the porcelain shrine, and thought it was done with aside from occasional stomach/intestinal burbling. But it didn't go away. And didn't go away. Then my boss called me last night; she was now down with what sounded like the same thing, and she was trying to find out if I'd be at work or if she should call our mid-shift guy to come in early and open up. Confident that by then I'd surely be over this, I promised her I'd be there and wished her better soon.
Have I mentioned lately that I'm a damned fool?
A restless night later, I slowly managed to drag myself together. Morning blahs is what I wrote it off to. *sigh* So now I'm home. I'm soaked in sweat, and feeling like my brain's being stretched slowly on some macabre torture rack. I stayed at work long enough to make sure that the new client (today's their first visit) was set up, and then came back here. I've called my primary care doc and been told that I'm -not- contagious at this stage, so at least I don't have to worry about infecting folk, but it's certainly not a pleasant sensation... and it'll likely hold on at least through this evening before letting me be. Joy. :/
In other news... *peeks around* I wanna be a Doodle, dangit! There, I said it. It won't make sense but to a couple people, but nyah! Soooooo cute! Blame Canada.
MMO and electronica fans should go watch Who Needs A Zeppelin? for a Horde's eye view of WoW. I think it's pretty neat, and I like the song.
And yes, I'm very carefully avoiding more than touching on my emotional state. Trust me on this one; very few folks like being bombarded with broken glass.
... I think that's all I have. All I'm gonna post, anyway. I've a phone call to make, then a nap to take. Then I'll see if I can work a bit of old fashioned digital magic and make the Sottster live again....
