On the fly update
Mar. 13th, 2006 01:02 pmReally, I am alive. Honest. Balancing two jobs while keeping an eye on my fatigue levels and blood pressure is keeping me busy. I've ghosted through a few places in the last week, but I've honestly not got much of a 'net presence right now. It's not likely to change in the immediate future.
The day job is going well. I adore my boss, and seem to be liked in return.
The weekend gig... well, it's looking like we'll be there a few days past our deaths getting it done. At least we found out what was up with the wall that refused to be painted; any contractor stupid enough to hang drywall WHILE IT"S WET should be broken. Repeatedly. First one ankle, then the other, so that they can't walk/run away. And then each finger. And then the ribs. Yes, I'm vicious. Cope. :p
Mostly I'm just tired, though that's slowly improving as well. Time will tell, I'd guess.
Best yet: while I was away this weekend arguing with drywall, Megan decided to clean. The bathroom and kitchen are damned near showcase quality, and her room no longer looks like a landfil. *looks around* Mine has suffered for the last few weeks. Gotta nail it down and get it cleaned up again. I've discovered that I -have- to be able to get into the closet... or hang something off the door that I could hang my slacks up on. Hrm. Come payday I'll have to look for something like that. It'd definitely be a help, particularly as I desperately need to rearrange this room. Again. Lead dog and the view and all that.
