*chuckles softly* I think we need to find a fuzzy counter-identity for Crys; she seems to have joined the menagerie in spirit at the very least.

After two days, I can give my impressions and feelings on the new job. In short... I like it. I like it quite a bit. And from feedback I'm getting through other channels, it seems that I'm liked as well... which is a good thing. Part of my concerns going into this job was of the type of work it was;
'administrative assistant' sounded (to my paranoid brain) like 'drone'. Imagine my surprise to discover that if THIS is what being a drone is, I'm quite late in finding my comfort spot.

I like this.

The mornings are a bit frantic, as there's more than a bit of scurrying about to get everything operational as classes start virtually atop unlocking the doors, but even that pace isn't backbreaking. Hectic, yes, but it certainly does make sure you're awake for the rest of the day. :p My boss is quite nice, I think, though she strikes me as quite a formidable individual. But I'm a good little cabbit, and have no intention of making the nice lady mad at me. The full-time assistant/co-manager/helper (I'm not sure at all what her title is, but that's the function she seems to fill) is very nice as well; she's so astoundingly cheery it's hard not to smile around her, and she seems very good at her job. My boss' boss seems nice, though it's much harder to get a real reading on her. Everyone seems happy with me, which thrills me to no end... and it's fun in an odd sort of way.

Did I mention that I think I could be -happy- doing this?

*wry smile* Now if only I could just get some freaking sleep so I could quit feeling like I've been repeatedly kicked in the head by the 2004 World Cup Soccer champs. :p
