Hrm. Uneven days. It's probably the best way to sum things up, and today is nearly legendary for being an example.

It started with a set of leg spasms that flipped me out of bed, airborne across my room, and head first into the painted oak dresser. Like, ow. o.o Once I had at least a semblance of my wits back, I called the rheumatology office I'm seen at, and had a note about the increasingly frequent leg spasms put in my file; it's the only way I'll -remember- it unless it happens that morning. The old grey cells just ain't what they used to be...

Physical therapy was a ... difficult session. Dave's having to broaden the scope of what's being worked on, particularly after the non-repaired knee buckled during one of the exercises. Fortunately it was a 'land on the rump' fall rather than a collision with the hydraulic machinery. Dave was more worried than I was; I'm used to this kind of dumping. The left knee's been on the 'badly damaged' list since the early 1980's, and I'm actually pleased it's held up as well as it has. So two of the machines I'd gotten accustomed to are now on the 'no' list, and I get to learn two more to replace them. *shrugs* He's quite definite that he's still seeing improvement, but that it's become obvious that a reinjury of the repaired knee is almost certain unless some of the other problem spots are straightened out. Ambivalent, am I.

To balance that mess... a copy of the game Syberia (a legit copy, no less) found its' way into my greedy little pawhands today. When it debuted three years ago, it immediately hit the very top of my 'desperate for' list (many thanks to a mousie for showing it to me in the first place, too). For a long while, the demo was installed just so I could enjoy a little of it. Well, today I ran into someone in the parking lot of WalMart that I'd not seen in ten years, and he was grumbling about having been given Syberia for his birthday when he'd asked for anime. An hour rummaging through my fansubs later, he left happy and I had a brand new copy of Syberia for the cost of two blank DVDs. Add to that my recently inherited copy of SW:KotOR2, and the Tenacious D Masterworks Volume 1 ... which includes a live show in London.

So I'm... guardedly optimistic for the evening. Tenacious D, Syberia, and being an evil-ish almost-a-Jedi should prove entertaining. And if the bear ever takes his PBeM turn of Civ3 and sends the file back, I'll have that too.

It might just be a good weekend.
