Oct. 2nd, 2005 06:54 pm- Floor's vacuumed
- Desk is in place
- Monitor, speakers, mouse, keyboard, Mac G3, hub, DSL MoDem, and KVM are in place and running
- Phone wiring has been extended the Happy Harry HomeownerTM way.
- Bookcase is in place
- CD rack is in place, alongside the as-yet unused SCSI CD tower.
- I'm in the process of clearing off the dresser so that it can be moved.
- The light switch locking plate has been removed... the outlet it's wired to no longer has the bulk of my LAN going to it. Instead, it has... a light. Oooooh. Ahhhh.
- Throwing Megan off CabbitHutch (which got relo'd to the living room for this project) would seem to be the biggest remaining difficulty I'll face.
Dear God, I'm tired.

Oct. 2nd, 2005 08:23 pmNote to self:
The very NEXT thing that gets bought/mooched/scavenged is a KVM with three or more working channels. This is ridiculous.
Additional Note to Self:
THIS KVM works on channels 1 & 4. Attempting to use channel 3 simply locks out the machine connected to those ports. Attempting to use channel 2 puts the entire unit into a perpetual reset cycle and locks out EVERYTHING.
*pounds head on desk*
Right. Move along. Nothing to see here. This is not the cabbit you're looking for...
