Jul. 14th, 2005 09:45 amSpent the night throwing up on things and then cleaning up.
Pulled my clean laundry out of the dryer, sat down to fold, and promptly rendered it all unwearable. Rewashed it.
Totally wiped out in the bathroom and got it, me, and the fscking ceiling. Fixed it.
My bed. *sigh* Stripped, washed, remade.
Why? Because I'm a moron and let myself run out of cough drops, a lacking I will be fixing in about 40 mins when my shoes (yes, I fscking got THEM too) come out of the dryer.
Grandma, at home, continues to freak everyone out. She looks and acts healthier than she has since she broke her hip in 2002... and I'm so tired I can't tell if it's relief, bravado, or her actually bouncing back. I've got to be there today to run interference; the particularly hard@ssed relative I've been fretting over is visiting this afternoon. Might have something to do with last night's PV issues. Mom is handling things about as well as I am, and there's a near constant commo channel open. While I've been conspicuously absent here on LJ and on AIM, it's made up for by the ongoing blitz of emails and phone calls. My therapist has been brought up to speed on what's going on; I'm going to give this poor lady a heart attack at this rate. But after listening to the checks and balances I've put into place to make sure I keep at least a tenuous hold on reality, she commented that it was odd after 20 years as a LCSW to run into an 'auto monitoring and auto correcting' patient.
I wish I had that kind of confidence.
In trivial stuff, I've been expanding my anime collection of late.
Eureka Seven does -not- impress me.... it's a mecha-based anime, where they all ride flying surfboards.
Berserk -does- impress me, though it's an odd kind of love/hate thing. I'm not fond of the intro music or some of the cut scene techniques, but the story itself got my attention.
Gunslinger Girl looks very very good. Good enough that I'm saving it to watch one day in one shot.
Grenadier looks nearly as good, though it'll probably get watched tonight or tomorrow.
AD Police OVA was ... thought provoking. But I'm weird; most folks probably just bounced through it, shrugged, and kept moving.
Steamboy is nearly complete; I'm lacking some of the checksum files but they're on the way.
And somehow I ended up with the -second- season of Vampire Princess Miyu, but not the first. Odd, that.
I'll shut up, now. I'm a bit disjointed this morning. I need coughdrops, and then food.
