M.I.A. - The Sequel
Jan. 10th, 2005 01:32 pmI got woken up early this morning by a phone call.
A phone call from Household Finance Corp, generally known as HFC or 'those rapist bastards' by their customers.
Being forced at financial gunpoint to turn the house over to their pet real estate investor apparently isn't good enough for them. They're back to trying to badger money out of us.
I've thrown up twice... but my emotional state has shifted from 'sick with panic' back into 'raging homicidal fury'. Until this is resolved, my presence will be sparse. Megan and our real estate agent (OURs, not the bitch that HFC shoved down our throats) are already at work on this.
Just as a side note to my friends who are homeowners:
Aviod HFC. No matter how good the deal looks, no matter how nice the people in the local office may be, the company as a whole is toxin. This isn't simply an issue of my not dealing properly with things; go do a bit of checking an you'll find similar cases. They're polite and gentle and generous until you sign on the dotted line... and then you find out that you're financed via the ninth plane of hell.
I'm going to go be sick again.
