I liked this one, enough to include it here where I've passed on all the other color bars that've floated by. My little sister's computer has been revived again, for all the good it'll do her. A Pentium 100 with 32mb of RAM is -not- going to be burning up the net, even with a good strong broadband connection. I'm sitting here trying to get myself ramped up enough to fish out the pieces to the 650 I've got in various boxes and piles, and build that up for her. It's another stack of stuff out of my way, and it puts a functional (but outdated for most folks) machine back on the line.

After much tinkering and fiddling, the P-II 350 that I ended up with from upgrading my Da's computer (also to a 650) is now firmly installed in the Gateway ATX case that I got from Kelly. The only catch to it is that it lacks a power switch; there's currently a wire trailing out of the case and a paperclip to bump the power toggle. Red Hat 9 installed flawlessly, as did MPlayer and VLC... and it IS fast enough to play my fansubs and AMVs, so I'm quite happy with it. I just need to find a power switch. :p

Mood-wise things are a bit rough, here. While I've managed to get things done, I'm just not 'feeling the love'. *shrugs* I guess I'll wander off, now. Maybe having a smoke will help...
