Nov. 13th, 2003 11:52 amHrm. No money for trashbags.... spent a few hours last night making piles. *snicker* I've run out of space to make piles. :p Perhaps my sense of humor is (again) inappropriate, but... I find that pretty damned funny. :p
So I wobbled into the kitchen to get a cup of water, and the pots fell on me from out of the cabinet (I'm -sure- this house is possessed, and has decided to try and take me out). Gathered up the debris, rewashed the stuff that hit the floor, then spent an hour rearranging the cabinets... and then cleared the clean dishes from the counter... and then swept the floor (it was kinda hard to stop, it all just led onwards)... and then rearranged the cooking utensils drawer because all the stuff wouldn't fit, then started washing some of the stacked dirty dishes.
I've got some of the worst offenders soaking in bleach & detergent.... no way in hell I'm sticking my hand into a pot that's fuzzy.
'm gonna go have a ciggie, maybe two. I /think/ I've got the cabinets fixed to the point that I can put away the stuff that's on the stove... which'd mean I could fish my teapot out and have some tea at last (I was trying to get water in the first place because I couldn't see the stove through the stuff atop it).
Maybe I'll play a game this afternoon. Red Alert 2 has been rather viciously kicking my ass (my reflexes are really too slow for RTS games, much as they're cool looking), Civilization III doesn't really do it for me today, Homeworld refuses to run well on the 650 (once I can pick up a new 50-pack of blank cd media, I can do the burns needed to strip it... so it can be rebuilt as a 2ghz machine), and Wizards & Warriors refuses to run on /any/ of my Athlons... and runs like a dog on Megan's Celeron 550 - unless you're feeling truly masochistic, or have a P-III or P-IV, avoid this one no matter -how- good a bargain it seems to be (cost me $4.95 about 8 months ago, and has never worked). So it looks like, since the DSL seems to be operational today, I'll be burying myself in D2 for a bit.
Meanwhile, it's time for that ciggie, and then I'll sit and read up on my LJ Friends page... haven't done that since just before midnight.

Date: 2003-11-13 03:06 pm (UTC)Oh! That reminds me. In my tidying yesterday I came across the box I thought the CD-RW discs were in - nothing, I'm afraid. My mother must have them. Sorry!
