Sep. 14th, 2003 09:09 pmA very odd little tidbit from
nightambre...
*blinks* I'm the heroine in a sci-fi hentai series. Hrm. At a guess, I'd have to think either the bloodsucking sexaroid from Bubblegum Crisis, or maybe if the girls in F3 were Veritech pilots in the Robotech Defense Force. Except there's not a lot of hentai in two of the three... F3 being the third. :p
At any rate, I'm working my way slowly through a list of books, and trying to make some sort of notes on the ones that might be needed down the road. There are some interesting links between the survivalist movement and the organic gardening movement. Neither really acknowledges the other, though, which makes it all rather odd. The things I do for entertainment. :p
Megan goes back to work tomorrow; a damned good thing, considering I'm a hair's bredth from throttling her. There are those who read my journal who've seen what happens when she and I are in close quarters for more than a couple days; now imagine the bell curve of two -weeks- of near confinement. If she whines one more time about the icecream I didn't bring her (after I'd already stopped and picked up dinner and met my mom to get the weedwacker and returned her movies and gassed up the car for her to use tomorrow), there's going to be an explosion. Turn your eyes away, darlings; it will NOT be pretty if it happens.
On other fronts, I'm holding things together as best I can. Given the outlays for docs and meds and fuel and such, we're ending up nearly $420 in the hole. There was $150 worth of gifts and help that came to me from friends (thank you again!), so I'm only stuck trying to scrounge $270. It's a far cry from the hefty monthly deficit back in the spring, but it still hurts. Not sure what corners I can cut to make it work, either. *hrms* Well, no point in dwelling on it, anyway. It'd just screw up my sleep patterns further.
Other than that, I've really got nothing new to report; I'll quit babbling now.
*hugs*
