Sweetie, in my Athlon 2000+ system, the -good- system (the one that handles the video functions that the Mac G3/400 chokes and dies on), is a GeForce4 440MX. It was -given- to me by a friend who'd upgraded to an FX5600? FX5400? something like that, and had no use for the GF4. The GeForce4 card replaced the serviceable-but-aging Radeon 7000 that had been the mainstay in that machine. (Remember the long discussion about flashing the BIOS of a PC Radeon 7000? Having that card suddenly free is what prompted it.)
Under normal circumstances, the Radeon 7000 would've replaced the GF2 in Goliath... but the driver finagling that had been necessary to get the GF2 working in the first place left doubts that it could be cleanly uninstalled and I really didn't want to have to do another reinstall.
And we won't even begin to discuss the Diamond Viper 770 Ultra, Diamond Viper 550, Diamond Stealth 2000 TV, trio of Tseng 9000's I have sitting in a drawer...
