Mar. 14th, 2008 05:06 pmToday, I picked up my prescriptions at Target. It's my first time with prescription insurance in years, so I was dreading the 'oh, this isn't valid' response when I tried to use the card. The 'scripts? Lamictal, valued at $461.99 ... Abilify, valued at $421.49... Amitriptyline, valued at $4.00 (they can't ALL be expensive).
I paid $13.45
I'm a very happy cabbit.
In other news, the G3 PowerBook remains a challenge. The battery is stone cold dead; pull the plug and *BLOOP* it's gone. No CDROM drive means finding some other way to get an OS on it, since the hard drive is blank. The BiL is supposed to be getting his hands on another of these; while it also will be without a CDROM drive, the battery might still have a bit of life. The one in -this- laptop is simply a counterbalance... or maybe a funny looking paperweight. Meikyuusho said something about visiting the local Apple store while they're up here tomorrow... I think I'll amuse myself by asking them if they've got an 'old & busted' pile out back that I can dumpsterdive in. :) My last post didn't turn up anyone having spare parts locally, so I'm down to trying random and absurd things. :)
