Pruning

I've pruned my friends list again; my friends page had become so cluttered that I was missing -everything-.

If I've pulled you from my friends listing and you want back on, all you need to do is comment here. I'm simply trying to be practical (for once) so I can keep track of my friends. I've also removed myself from all community feeds except for LJ News and Anachrotech; if something appears in a group that someone thinks I need/want to see, then drop me a line about it, k? Between the Bad Roleplayers community and the EGL groups, checking my friends page would be a 45min task. Some of it was pretty, some of it was funny, but it was in my way.

Groups have this habit of clogging up FPs until actual friend's entries become the minority. Of course, checking my FP approaches a 45 minute task anyhow!

No kidding. My FP was already ridiculously tangled before I added the Bad RPers community... at which point it collapsed under the weight of 30-50 additional posts per day. I was going insane.

That's what filters are for, I suppose, but that's adding a whole extra layer of effort. I like to read the doctorwho community after an episode is shown, but I've taken to keeping it off my FL and just going there when I wish, as if it were another site entirely.

A new episode featuring the Ood was broadcast about two hours ago. Being in Germany, though, I'll have to wait for it to be uploaded to the Internets before I can watch it. This season seems thankfully better than the last.

Heh, I never friend my communities unless they're very slow-paced. I check the EGL comm compulsively, but never on my friendspage. I want my, y'know, friends to be there. XD

Heh, most of the people I've known who did the Big Friendcut were like "If you don't post, I'm DE-FRIENDING YOU" so I was like ack! @_@;

I thought of you the other day--I saw a slideshow on the nbc4.com (WRC in DC) website about this giant (!) cavy that someone found out in Oregon. It looked a bit like a deer but then more like a guinea pig. It was probably someone's pet, they said; a Patagonian Cavy. It's on the "slideshow" section of the nbc4.com website, btw, if you want to see it.
