Cheese Tray from Hell, with stops in Japan and the United States...
Diddles are volatile, unpredictable creatures, notorious for staggeringly generous gifts, puns, and otherwise warped humor.
I adore them, and they seem to like me in return.
I've been playing address tag with UPS for at least a week now, trying to take delivery of the 'cheese tray' that a certain diddle had warned me was incoming. Knowing the sense of humor inherent in the sender, I wasn't sure if it was food, eye candy, or some lavish ballgown purchased from overseas somewhere. Today I actually managed to link up with the grateful UPS driver (who was on the fifth attempt to deliver this package), and carried it upstairs to the guest room at Crystal and Kelly's to open it up and finally satisfy my curiousity.
Seventy movies. No, I'm not kidding. Seventy films, of which I had downloaded copies of THREE, to add to my collection. Gamera. Godzilla. Inframan. King Kong. Mothra. And a huge multi-pack that would take me forever to list out. *checks Amazon* Ahhh. HERE it is. And it includes the film 'Eegah', that several folks have recently told me I must see.
*stares* Diddle. Lovie, you've outdone yourself. Thank you, bless you, you're completely and totally insane and I love you for every bit of it. *sigh* Pity there was nothing to send in the other direction. :( Next year, dammit. :p
In other news... my dental appointment today did NOT conclude with the dreaded word 'extraction'. Instead, it featured the equally dreaded words 'root canal' (x3, minimum). Gotta schedule that. Joy. But at least the teeth involved (my front ones! what kind of cabbit has no front teeth??) can be saved.
And on that note... g'nite. *thud*

As for returns? You'd mentioned some martial arts flicks you had. If you have them in duplicatable form (burnable onto CD, videotape, etc) Feel free to send some of them my way. And if you need some CD-R's to use, let me know, I'll be glad to send you some of my overstock.
Nice to know there's at least a couple...ahem...'gems' in there that have been recommended previously. Though it might bring into doubt the sanity of said friends ;)

And once I opened the box that came to me FROM that truck, amazingly appropriate. :)

'm a bit cash poor at the moment, love. I still very much want them, but I'm going to have to scrounge a bit to try and find the money. As for directions, I'll try and flag you down via IM for address and such. The apartment's a wreck (as always, *sigh*) but I'm hoping to at least beat back the forces of chaos to be able to have places to visit with folks again. With Megan now worried about Keith seeing the apartment, she's actually helping a bit here and there, so maybe I can finally make some real progress there.
*smooch* 'm a bit... er... strained today. Two nights of very VERY rough sleep (if it can be termed such); I'm a mess. But I'll try and grab you in the next day or so, k?
