Breaking radio silence...

I'm slowly pulling myself out of this hole. Several folks very very dear to me have been helping coax what's left of my mind out of the hole it was hiding in. I've been trying to get caught up on news, and slowly catch up on the other things precious to me... and encountered this:

...

I've shown this link to a handful of folks. The overall reaction has been one of rage and utter disbelief... except for two of them. Those two were militant Bush supporters during the election, refusing to acknowledge that he was even fallible like other humans. They granted him the same kind of 'mouth of God' status that is given the Pope by the Catholic church, one going so far as to state that anyone who was anti-Bush was anti-American and likely 'going straight to hell'.

My question is this: Just how much evil will this man and his administration be permitted to wreak on the people of the world?

He's proven categorically that anyone who isn't militantly heterosexual is considered unworthy of equal rights under the constitution. He's proven categorically that anyone not affiliated with a 'big money' cause is considered unworthy of consideration. And now he's proven that even the soldiers, who fight and (oftentimes) DIE for freedom and truth our leaders want to shout from the rooftops, are considered unworthy of consideration.

I've been told repeatedly that I'm seeing demons where only shadows are. I've defended my views with references to historical events... oh, yeah, the school systems have been disemboweled and castrated by the Bush administration's 'no child left behind' system, so of course nobody KNOWS about the historical parallels. This demon isn't in the shadows. It's standing out in the light for all the world to see.

HOW MUCH MORE??

It's a case of loving the war, but hating the soldier. Nothing this administration has done has shown anything but contempt for the people who are putting their lives on the line. From armor, to shoes, to pulling unfit reservists into battle, to the cutting of salaries and benefits; none of the money going towards this war is going to the soldiers who badly need it.

That seems like a really stupid move.

On the one hand, it's bad that they're doing this, but on the other, more pragmatic hand, it'll help to give people a sense that Bush has betrayed them, which if things continue on this way could see some good changes in the 2006 Congress elections.

"This demon isn't in the shadows. It's standing out in the light for all the world to see."

Agreed. Bush is an evil man devoid of morals and soul, and should be impeached.

A man who "supports the troops" by cutting veterans beifits to te bone, and lowering combat pay. Is it really much of a supprise?
