Yes, I've been a gamerdork most of the day. Got up this morning, intending to clean while doing more laundry... and discovered a shocking lack of trash bags and laundry soap. So much for that idea. I straightened things a bit, then quit when I realized I'd filled a trashcan and had no place to put anything else. Hrm. Well, best laid plans of bunnies and men...
Faced with a choice between finding something non-constructive to do or taking a nap, I opted for *GASP* a bit of gaming. That narrowed the selection down to three: Kingdom Hearts (PS2), Galactic Civilizations (PC), or Diablo 2 (PC & BattleNet). And that actually became simpler, considering I'd spent most of the night on the PS2 (it's kinda small and all, but if you sit just right you can... oh, never mind...).... and the resulting choice made easy by the fact that the D2:LOD cd was in the PC.
The BattleNet 'top players' rosters are all hopelessly clogged with folks that log in once a month just to keep their characters from being purged, but rarely (if ever) play... which makes it rather pointless to worry about 'being the best'. But it's still an amusing diversion, even if I am the last of my circle to still be playing. And there are still little goals that are nifty to make... like taking Andariel out in one shot, without the 'sidekick' (who'd gotten herself greased in the entry room). I know others have done it, and better, but I remain fond of the game long after others have moved on. For a game that's not turn based to hold my interest is quite an accomplishment for the folks at Blizzard. Squaresoft is about the only other company that's managed that, though there're a few contenders trying to claim the 'honor' as well.
*looks are and smiles* It's really been a lovely day... nice breeze, just the right amount of sun, evil to vanquish, all done to the often schizoid music selections of iTunes. *grooves to the music* So many different styles. I'm beginning to wonder if my wildly diverse musical tastes are what drove iTunes to its' current madness. *patpats the G3* It's okay, sweetling. Momma loves you even if you're crazy.
It may well prove to be a quiet night. As addicted as I am to cuddling with the handful of folk I pass my nights with, I may end up giving them all a break today. As precious as they are to me, I know just how obsessive I can get... and I don't want anyone parting ways with me as a result of OverLove. If the reference means nothing to you, go find the Dream Evil album from Ronnie James Dio... it's track 6 on the album, and worth a listen. Also on that album is All The Fools Sailed Away, which is one of my favorite tracks from the heavy metal elf that is Dio.... the other being The Wild One from the Lock Up The Wolves release. *pins her 'Hopeless Fangirl of Dio' button to her blouse and smiles prettily*
I've got food, courtesy of the run out to the bank, and am alternating 32oz jugs of water with 12oz cans of Pepsi, and the power's on. So I'm set for the night. If I go idle for a long while, it's either an impromptu nap or me stomping around in the Dry Hills.
*smooches, gives earscritches where they'll be appreciated, and bounces back out*

I wanted to have more done, especially by Sue (since she draws me the way I would draw me... If I could draw ^^;; ), but... Financial limitations have forced me to wait on that for a bit. ^^;
LJ seems to be kinda slow for me tonight. =P If you wanna talk more, you can always send me an ICQ. Also, I hope you don't mind if I add you to my friends list. ^^;;

What's not to like, here? :p
*pokes LJ to make it cough up information*

*blushes* And thank you. I try. *^^*
As for LJ... I dunno... Maybe it's where I'm located. Maybe I'm getting extra traffic between me and the LJ servers (have to check the internet health report). But it's taking forever for it to load, and when I post comments I get this "Cannot Find Server" error page back. I thought it lost that last post. ^^; Fortunately I checked, before reposting. =)

He's great. I'm trying to learn some of his stuff on guitar, and, just the other day, I scored the mp3 of "Man on the Silver Mountain" from his days in Rainbow, with the Deep Purple dude, if I'm not mistaken. Not to mention that one of my weekly rituals includes watching the "Sacred Heart" vhs tape. ^_^;;
The Deep Purple Dude?
Somewhere I've got some of the vinyl releases from Elf, and I know I've got two of the Rainbow (full name was Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow, at least originally), as well as several of the Deep Purple releases. The only Dio oriented vid I've got is the Time Machine Dio retrospective, but it gets played as often as the Sailor Moon and Big O tapes. :p
You really should give a listen to Dream Evil, love. Very cool stuff. And Ritchie Blackmore's current project is Blackmore's Night. :)
Re: The Deep Purple Dude?
I'll certainly have to get Dream Evil soon. I have a greatest hits of Dio, which just happens to have Dream Evil itself on it, and I rather like it. ^_^
Re: The Deep Purple Dude?
You're far too cute to be burned at the stake for heresy. :p *snuggles*
I highly recommend both Dream Evil and Lock Up The Wolves. And you really should give a listen to some of the Blackmore's Night material... it's really quite spiff.
Re: The Deep Purple Dude?
And, I will definetely check out that Ritchie Blackmore, as well. ^^
