It's a slow night; typical of a Friday, really. Megan's out with the vast bulk of my local friends/acquaintances seeing the new Harry Potter flick... a trip that I begged off on. I... while I can be very social in small groups, if the group is larger I have to be in an exceptional mood or in the midst of a manic swing or I shut down almost completely and become a wallflower.

I've got Vol 1 of Billy Joel's Greatest Hits ripping now; Vol 2 will be next, and that wraps my every-damn-cd-I-can-find-in-this-house ripping spree into iTunes. When Volume 2 is finished, then the real work begins... integrating almost 11 gigs of mp3's, mostly echoing an equally vast cassette collection. I think the oddest transition thus far was from Simon & Garfunkel's 'Blessed' to Iced Earth's 'Blessed Are You'. Oddness abounds.

More uproar on Gaia... this time it's of the classic 'I'm being a militantly ignorant asshole and you can't make me think' variety. It's pretty much the same as dealing with a belligerent drunk, in that the only thing that'll really get their attention is direct, raw force. Even the most bellicose of boozers becomes extremely cooperative when you're using a piece of steel pipe as a reasoning tool; folks that troll message boards with abrasive, militant ignorance are simply SOBER belligerent drunkards. The reasoning tool remains the same.

What? You think I'm hostile and/or excessive? *snicker* Then you obviously aren't one of my regulars, and it'd be best if you just kept moving. Thank you for playing, and have a nice day. I think my regulars all understand entirely TOO well the kind of person I'm talking about. Hey, Lys? Can I borrow the ClueTankTM for a bit? I promise I'll gas it back up when I'm done...

While it's been a slowish day, that's not been a bad thing. There've been bunnies and puppies and dollies and kitties (and one very seksay bear) to liven things up at different points. You'd almost think I that I was rediscovering my libido. Okay, maybe I am, but if you'd been shown some of the piccies I've seen in the last few days..... I mean, to quote Jed Clampett: Whewwww doggie! Well, it was a different species of critter, but the sentiment's the same, and it remains to be seen just how MANY species there are that can do that to me... o.0

Anyway, that's about all that's cooking tonight. I'm going to do a bit on the magical mystical mp3 massacre, and then hit the sack. And after I'm done hitting the sack, I might go lay down in my bed and get some sleep...

For some reason, my li'l corner, as it were, on Gaia has been fairly peaceful. ^^ btw, by what are you known as on Gaia? ^^
And, I've been wanting to get my hands on "Carry On My Wayward Son" for some time, as well as learn it on guitar. ^^;;
P.S. I love Iced Earth! ^^

*chuckles*
I've got Gaians and IE fans popping out of the woodwork all of a sudden. Where've all you folks been hiding all this time? :p On Gaia I can be found as Elliedoll, generally lurking within ED: M&R's Do You Believe In Mods? or in the First Church of Mod.

*grins impishly* And you CAN'T be old enough to be a Kansas fan, can you? *^.^*

Spiffy! ^^
I'm known as Angelic Celestia on both Gaia, and AIM, as well. ^^
I'm usually found in either ED, usually in the trans thread in Sociology and Psychology. ^^ Or haunting the writers forum, and the toys and collectibles forum, depending on my mood. ^^
And, I remember "Carry On My Wayward Son" from when I was a kid. ^^ Which was quite some time ago ... ^^;; A cookie if you can guess my age! ^_~
